Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Ethical Principles

Our journal adopts the ethical publishing principles published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

General Ethical Principles:

  • The preliminary evaluation of the articles sent to the journal will be made by the editors of the field and the studies that pass this evaluation will be examined with a double-blind referee system. Studies that are accepted as appropriate by at least two referees are published.
  • All responsibility for the published studies belongs to the author(s). More than one work of an author is not published in the same publication period of the journal.
  • All authors are responsible for presenting their research in an honest, original and transparent manner. The works of others should be appropriately cited in the articles and plagiarism should be avoided.
  • All authors should provide information about financial support, personal or institutional relationships that may create a conflict of interest.
  • Submitted articles must not have been published or are under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All authors must be individuals who have truly contributed to the work, and all contributors must be included in the authorship order.
  • Editors act impartially and fairly when evaluating the academic quality and contribution to the field of studies submitted to the journal.
  • In cases of conflicts of interest, the editor takes appropriate measures to ensure an independent evaluation process.
  • Editors initiate the necessary correction, retraction or explanation processes in cases that violate ethical rules.
  • JCSC applies a double-blind peer-review system. The identities of the reviewers are not known to the authors, and the identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers.
  • Reviewers must be objective in the evaluation process and present their suggestions openly.
  • Reviewers must keep the studies they evaluate confidential and avoid conflicts of interest.

Open Access Policy

Our journal adopts the principle that making scientific research freely available to the public will increase the global sharing of knowledge, and provides immediate open access to its content to individual users.
